HACKATHONS 2018

● Built anti account takeover machine learning model with the team in card tech machine learning hackathon. The model produced the highest prediction score.

HACKATHONS 2017

● Invented and presented an AI product idea of immigrationBot in DC startup weekend. The idea got selected to participate in the final competition. Recruited team members and led the team to build the product and demo the product in front of five investors.

● Recruited team and worked with the team to build an anti-fraud machine learning model in Spark Hackathon. This model produced the best prediction score and won the first prize. Our model could save 27 million dollars per 3 months.

● Redesigned and built a website with the team for a local charity - Richmond ARC to help people with disabilities to get more job opportunities in the RVA community hackathon.​

● Innovated, designed, and built a voice-controlled drone flying system using Alexa, AWS IOT service, and Parrot Drone SDK. This Alexa skill won the best entertaining award in Alexa Challenge.

HACKATHONS 2016

● Built a hybrid mobile application - VoicePrint in Creationwide hackathon using Ionic, Angularjs, Cordova, and RESTful web service API (Voice authentication). Successfully demoed how to register and verify our voices as password through our App.

● Cooperated to develop KindQuest mobile web in Columbus GiveBackHack hackathon with our team using ruby on rails and bootstrap. The purpose of this app is to help and support people who have mental health issues through gamification and social network.

HACKATHONS 2014

● Cooperated to design and develop a responsive web application, “SpotNote,” using knockout.js, which won first place in Enterprise Applications Hackathon.

● Participated in Google Glass Hackathon and developed a working Google Glass App using Google Glass GDK.

HACKATHONS 2013

● Created an Android application, “RollOn,” which reads RSS, email, and other media feeds to the user when they are on the run. Initiated at Startup Weekend 2013 and a presentation model was released to the Android Marketplace for concept demonstrations. Won second place at Columbus Startup Weekend 2013.

OTHER PROJECTS

● Designed and Built an Augmented Reality mobile app, “Campus Event App,” and published a paper in the Informing Science and Information Technology (IISIT), Volume 11, 2014.

● Led an Agile team of 10 developers to develop Equality Toledo Membership Management System using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, PHP, and MySQL for LGBTQ charity -Equality Toledo.
