Volunteering Experience | Lei Pan

VOLUNTEERING EXPERIENCE

● Taught mobile development in Binford middle school for a semester. My students won the best technical APP awards in the final project competition.

● Led and taught 22 middle school girls and 5 mentors web development in Coder School Special Event. Two of my students won the best technical APP awards out of 120 middle schoolers.

● Won algorithm challenge in Women Who Code Algorithm Challenge.​

● Gave Big O & algorithm talk in Women Who Code Event.

● Led 120 middle school girls and 7 teachers to build Alexa Skills in Techster Alexa Event.

● Taught 60 tech interns how to build Alexa Skills and demoed my voice-controlled flying drone Alexa skill.

● Taught 200 elementary school kids robotics in Field day trip.

Donations

● I have donated to various organizations including the world food program to fight hunger around the world, Malala Fund to help provide girls equal education opportunities, St Baldrick's Foundation to help conquer childhood cancers, humane society to help animals, and Bowling Green State University (BGSU) to support scholarship program in Computer Science department and Business School.
